For a warm breakfast any day of the week, customize your own quick and easy Mason Jar Omelet. I’m so excited to share my Mason Jar Omelet with you today. It’s the only way I can make sure Warren and I can get a hot breakfast in the morning. Sure, you can have a smoothie, muffin, or scone, but sometimes a hot breakfast is just what we need to get the day started.

That’s when my Mason Jar Omelet steps in. Think, meal prep, but instead of lunch or dinner, it’s for breakfast. Simply, think of the kind of omelet you’d want for the week and add the ingredients (except for the egg) into a mason jar. The three I have pictured below are:

  • Ham and cheese – sliced deli ham, diced, and shredded cheese of preference
  • Veggie – fresh chopped spinach, diced mushrooms, and diced tomatoes
  • Meat lovers – chopped bacon and sliced deli ham, diced

For a warm breakfast any day of the week, customize your own quick and easy Mason Jar Omelet. Here’s the best part. To cook the omelet, I don’t even need to break out the skillet. I just use OXO’s Microwave Omelet Maker. I pour the contents of the jar into the omelet maker and microwave for a few minutes, while I prepare my coffee. Once the microwave beeps in about three minutes, I fold the omelet over, and voila! I have a hot, fluffy, and hearty omelet, the perfect way to start the day :)

For a warm breakfast any day of the week, customize your own quick and easy Mason Jar Omelet. Earlier, I mentioned a meat lovers Mason Jar Omelet. Let me clarify that I do not use raw bacon. To cook the bacon quickly, I used OXO’s Microwave Bacon Crisper. With the crisper, I’m able to have perfectly cooked and crisped bacon in minutes and ready to be put in the Mason Jar Omelet. One of my favorite features is the adjustable kickstand that provides an incline so that the grease can easily drain into the built-in reservoir. Now, the reason why I love this feature is NOT because it gets rid of the grease, but because I will save the bacon grease for use at another time! It’s awesome! I’ll use it in place of oil or butter to give my cooking an oomph in flavor. Don’t judge, please. Just kidding, you can judge if you want to, but I’m still going enjoy my bacon fat ;)
