As soon as Fall hits, I strategically place Fall-scented candles around the house. Every time I get home and take a deep breath, the spicy fragrance makes me instantly more cheery. Right when Halloween is over, the candles are stashed away and I have my slow cooker running on overdrive with Slow Cooker Mulled Cider.

Making Slow Cooker Mulled Cider could not get any easier. It’s as simple as doctoring store-bought apple cider and adding deliciously aromatic ingredients and spices like orange slices, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon sticks.

It all gets cooked low and slow, leaving your house smelling amazing! Not to mention a delicious and refreshing beverage to sip on all holiday season long. We enjoy it hot or cold because in Southern California, November and December does not always equate to cool and crisp weather.

I suggest using this recipe as a starting point and adjusting it to suit your olfactory system and palate. Add more or less of any of the ingredients and even add other non-listed spices like nutmeg, cardamom, allspice, and vanilla bean pods!

Tip: Have this Slow Cooker Mulled Cider brewing all day before your party guests arrive. Not only will your house smell holiday-ready, but your guests can help themselves to a refreshment as they get settled in for a fun night ahead.
